My research is in machine learning with an emphasis on natural language processing. More specifically, I primarily study machine learning scenarios where there is an interaction with a domain expert during the learning procedure (active learning, interactive knowledge acquisition) and scaling these protocols up to real-world applicability. In Spring 2012, I taught a course at Boston University on Machine Learning . Also in Fall 2011, I taught a course with Byron Wallace on Artificial Intelligence in Health Informatics .
I presently have two works in submission which I am not listing to maintain anonimity for reviewing purposes. However, if you have talked to me and would like a draft version, I would appreciate the feedback. I also gave a relevant presentation about a year ago titled Interactive Introduction of Semantic Information for Discriminative Learning ( video ) at the NSF Symposium on Semantic Knowledge Discovery, Organization, and Use at NYU .
