The pursuit of knowing God should be the first priority in the life of a Christian. O, that we might genuinely be able to say with the apostle Paul, “whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Phil. 3:7-8)
