"Road Safety" is one of the biggest concerns in the country. State Government is committed to bring down fatalities caused on the road. The primary aim of this program is to inculcate sense of safe driving and responsible road behaviour among the masses and to spread the message of road safety in every corner of the society.
Kolkata Police is organising the 3rd Kolkata Police SDSL Half Marathon on 12th February 2023 in three race categories 21K, 10K and 5K. Participants will get a platform to showcase their endurance and they will also carry with them the message of better road safety for themselves, their family members and friends. Routes are chosen to reach out to all important neighbourhoods and to reach out to as many residents of this city as possible. We are expecting more than 20,000 participants this year from all age
Kolkata Police has decided to organize this run on any Sunday of January or February every year to spread awareness towards mass cultural change to better road etiquette and compliance to rules and regulations to achieve our Vision of making Kolkata world’s safest city for all road users with world class commuting experience.
