Lahti Lakes 2021 took place as an online symposium on 7-9. June 2021. The meeting continued the lively debate about future challenges in the field of lake restoration that began during the 2018 symposium, including discussing the impacts of environmental change and economic development on lake systems. The symposium was organized by the University of Helsinki, Lake Vesijärvi Foundation, and the SIL working group on Lake Restoration. It also formed part of the official Lahti European Green Capital 2021 event
The symposium was hosted from the Videomakers studio in Lahti, and included onsite presentations from Finnish presenters as well as online presentations from participants overseas. For authors who have given consent, the recorded presentations are available on the University of Helsinki’s Unitube service here .
