LaToya Bates is a faith leader and social entrepreneur who resides in Wisconsin. She is an advocate for women, people of color and the LGBT+ community. LaToya is available for public speaking, workshops, conferences as well as strategic planning and organizational development.
LaToya is a graduate of Alverno College, in Milwaukee. There she earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Business and Management, with support areas in Adult Education and Psychology, as well as a Master’s in Education and Organizational Development. In 2019, LaToya earned a Master’s of the Arts in Pastoral Studies at Cardinal Stritch University.
LaToya is the Founding Director of Wounded Wings: Association for the Betterment of Women and Girls. An interfaith organization, Wounded Wings’ mission is to better the lives of women and girls, by providing educational opportunities and support systems needed to create and reach goals for personal success. The organization promotes social justice and aims to help women and girls heal from trauma.
