Welcome!  I am a lecturer at The Elliott School of International Affairs and in the Honors Program at The George Washington University . I work on topics stemming from the history of political thought, focusing on problems in contemporary democratic theory.  I teach courses on human rights, justice, resistance, and immigration ethics. I have broad research interests in race, gender and the law, the European and American public spheres, and health policy.

I received my Ph.D. from Brown University in 2016 and my MA from Columbia University in 2009. Before and during graduate school, I worked in professional capacities for an international NGO on democracy promotion and governance in Asia. As an undergraduate, I studied early modern and modern European history, the modern history of East Asia, as well as political theory and public law at Dartmouth College .
