We operate 415 rental units on 14 sites, working to provide appropriate, affordable housing for Lloydminster and area citizens. Currently we serve 600+ Albertans in our housing portfolio, including children, adults 18-64 and seniors 65+.
Comprised of representation from the City of Lloydminster, County of Vermilion River, Village of Kitscoty, Village of Paradise Valley and Village of Marwayne, the LRHG’s board of volunteer members also includes professional representation that will provide guidance the newfound LRHG Board requires to meet their Vision, Mission and Values.
Lloydminster is unique in the country as being the only “border city”, i.e. our city spans across the provincial borders of Saskatchewan and Alberta. We therefore have the advantage of having 2 different provincially-regulated housing bodies, the Saskatchewan Housing Authority that serves the Saskatchewan residents of the City, and ourselves that operate on the Alberta side; as well as a Metis Housing body that serves Indigenous, Metis and other persons and also Carleton Housing which serves the Indigenous
