This is the personal webpage for me, Lucas "Luke" Erlandson
Luke is a PhD Candidate (Defended May 2022) in Computational Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech where he started in 2018. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota in 2017, and spent time as a researcher during Spring of 2018. He is the lead developer behind the SMASH package and co-developer on the EVSL package. He lead the development of a distributed memory GPU code for quantum chemistry calculations. SMASH is a package for hierarchical matrix operations. Namely, it accelerates operations involving matrices arising from kernel such as those found in Gaussian Processes, n-body problems and Brownian Dynamics.
