Manteo Preservation Trust (MPT) in Manteo Outer Banks on Roanoke Island was formed 20 years ago as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) by a group of citizens who wanted to bring higher awareness to the public about Manteo’s historic, cultural and architectural heritage. Our town is rich with ties to boat building, fishing and generational families that have brought a cultural continuity that deserves to be preserved and protected.
