I am an R&D research engineer for the numerical simulation of electromagnetics at Dassault Systèmes . Before joining the industry, I was a researcher at Philips Research in Hamburg and a PostDoc in the Simulation of Energy Systems group at the Max Planck Institute in Magdeburg. In 2018, I graduated with a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Delft University of Technology. My research focus is numerical linear algebra, computational imaging and model-order reduction.
From my point of view, the field Numerical Analysis is best described as the connecting scientific discipline between theoretical considerations of physical phenomena which arise in engineering science and their numerical solution on state-of-the-art hardware. In more detail, my scientific interest includes mostly partial differential equations and their fast numerical solution after discretization.
