I received my PhD in literary studies and Indigenous studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Sean Teuton was my dissertation director. I’ve taught at Texas Tech University, Tufts University, and Clemson, and am grateful for the research support and intellectual community from the American Indian Studies Center at UCLA, the Center for the Humanities at Tufts, the College of Art, Architecture, and the Humanities at Clemson, and Dark Laboratory .

My book Against Extraction: Indigenous Modernism in the Twin Cities will be published in April by Duke University Press, and I'm currently working on a book project on the cultural and colonial histories of drought in Turtle Island and in Palestine.
