Writiting Life one Word at a Time
Last year March 13 th was on a Friday. It was the end of a long week at school that included parent conferences, a full moon, and a time change. In a teacher’s world, all three of those things colliding can be a crazy time. But we also had a pandemic looming at a distance that we didn’t fully understand yet.
The day before, we were informed that our district was closing schools effective after school on March 13 th for an extended three-week Spring Break. This break would give us time to wait out the COVID-19 pandemic and then return to school. How little did we know. Soon, a stay-at-home order and national emergency would follow. And we all had to navigate a new world.
