Hello there, My name is Matthew Hong. I am a Ph.D. student at MIT adviced by Professor Bonnie Berger and Professor Yael Tauman Kalai . I am interested in applied cryptography and the general field of theoretical computer science (TCS) . I am recently exploring in particular biomedical privacy .
I received my B.Eng. from the Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences at Tsinghua University, China.
Previously, I was at Professor Yu Yu ’s group as a research assistant in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. I was fortunate to work under the supervision of Professor Yuval Ishai and Professor Amit Sahai in 2019 for undergraduate research experiences. Before that, I spent a rewarding summer 2018 at Professor Yu Yu ’s crypto group in SJTU, Shanghai.
