The Middle Georgia Regional Commission is the state-designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Middle Georgia. The primary role of the AAA is to plan, develop and administer a comprehensive service delivery system for older adults and people with disabilities.
The Middle Georgia Area Agency on Aging, through contracts with local service providers, offers a hot, midday meal and a variety of social activities to older adults interested in attending one of the region’s 11 senior centers.
The Regional Commission supports member governments and local economic development agencies by providing demographic information requested by prospects; meeting with prospects; mapping available properties and buildings; structuring deals; assisting with the industrial site certification process; serving as a liaison between federal, state, and local economic development resources; and assisting with site selection and development.
