So, I have lots of old books. Too many in fact and some are in such condition that I decided to use them to create journals. Now some people might look down on using old books as a journal but I have seen lots of old books thrown away and some went to the garbage heap. And I like to look at it as a way of giving an old book a new life. And anyone who writes in one of these journal will appreciate the beauty of the old book and maybe even ponder what the old book was like when it was brand new and shiny. May
But I digress, lol. Anyway, this journal started out as an old book about sewing. And what’s funny about this is that I had this exact same book years ago when I first learned to sew. But one year we moved out of state and somehow the book got lost when packing. And whats really funny is that I have found this same exact book at the Goodwill stores several times during my visits to it. And each time I have brought the book home to have another life at being a journal. Of course I have a really good copy on
Now I made a video of the journal and it’s made pretty much like all the other journals I make. This one has a 2 and 1/2 inch spine with vintage fabric and large buttons added to it. It measures 7 and 1/2 inches in width and 10 and 1/4 inches in height. Inside are 3 signatures with 15 pages per signature. And when you count the front and back of each page that comes to around 180 pages to use. It also has lots of pockets on the inside and they are all stuffed with vintage themed sewing ephemera.
