Hi, I am Mukul Bhutani. I am currently working as a Software Engineer at Google. We use machine learning to do personalized recommendations and surface right content to a user at the right time. Previously, I was Applied Research Engineer in Apple’s search science team for Appstore. In essence, if you have used a smartphone in the past two years, somewhere or the other you have touched my code.
Prior to that I graduated with a Master’s degree from Language Technology Institude , School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University . The exact name of my program was: “Masters in Language Technologies”. It basically means that I got to study and do research work in machine learning and NLP. There, I got a chance to work with great set of peers and an amazing set of professors including Zico Kolter , Alan Black , and Alex Rudnicky .
