Dennis Murphy is the head puppeteer for Queensland’s International Award-Winning Puppet Company, MURPHYS PUPPETS.
Since childhood Dennis has had an abiding interest in Puppetry. At seven he had a puppet theatre going in his basement .
His research has taken him to the highlands of Sumatra and The National Puppet Theatre in Moscow . He trained with The Honan Puppet and Shadow Art Company of China and with Indonesian ‘dalang’ Suparmen in Java.
