Description: The NAAMS Global Standard Components - Stamping and Assembly are produced and maintained in a joint effort by DaimlerChrysler Corporation, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation and their suppliers. They describe and define the components that have been adopted as standard by those companies when designing and constructing stamping dies and body assembly tools for sheet steel body components. The effort is conducted under the sponsorship of the Auto/Steel Partnership.

NAAMS Global Standard Components for Assembly and Stamping are produced and maintained through collaboration efforts between Chrysler LLC., Ford Motor Company, General Motors Company, and their respective suppliers. They describe and define approved components utilized to design and manufacture Stamping Dies and Tooling to produce or join various sheet metal products as part of the vehicle body, assembly production process. The initial publication for Stamping components occurred in January 1995, followed by the Assembly components in 1996. In 1997, both became available on the World Wide Web to address documentation control initiatives with expansion, revisions, and accelerated use.
