NFDI4BIOIMAGE is a consortium of the National Research Data Infrastructure (Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur, NFDI) in Germany. Our focus is on all steps of the research data life cycle for microscopy and bioimage analysis. NFDI4BIOIMAGE applied as a consortium in the third call for applications (2021) and has started as an NFDI consortium in March 2023.

The  National Research Data Infrastructure NFDI  is an infrastructure framework for research data management in Germany funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and research and the Länder. Orchestrated by the German Research Foundation DFG , the NFDI is forming as a network of collaborating consortia. Over three years (2019 to 2021) consortial initiatives applied in three consecutive calls to become a part of the NFDI.
