The Arizona Coyotes are an American ice hockey club based in Tempe , Arizona . He entered the NHL in 1996/97 and plays in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference . He played his home games in the Gila River Arena with a capacity of 17,125 spectators. The club colors are brick red, black and sand.
After the 2013/14 season, the club changed its name from Phoenix Coyotes to Arizona Coyotes, as the club's management wanted to show that the team is not only from the city of Phoenix, but from the entire state of Arizona.
On February 10, 2022, the club signed a three-year contract and will play its games in the new 4,600-capacity ASU Multi-Purpose Arena starting in the fall of 2022.
