From his studio close to the banks of the River Wylye in South Wiltshire, Nick Andrew paints the nearby water-meadows, lakes, forest and especially the river in all seasons and times of day.
Nick and his partner, Tanya Hinton and other artists at Bull Mill Arts are throwing open the doors of their studios as part of the award winning Wylye Valley Art Trail from 29 April – 8 May 2023. There are 73 venues across South West Wiltshire, involving over 240 artists. www.wvat.co.uk
Nick also explores themes further afield through plein air drawing projects, including ‘A Gap in the Market’ : a year- long series of drawings of Salisbury Charter Market (see below ), which were exhibited in 2021. His latest project: SPiRE, explores 32 views towards Salisbury Cathedral spire from compass points outside the city. This collection will be exhibited at Fisherton Mill, Salisbury in Sept 2023.
