He is a computer scientist with a Ph.D. in Theoretical Computer Science and a world-leading expert in Mathematical Logic and Proof Theory, currently working as a reader (associate professor) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) . At QMUL, Dr Oliva leads in the UG Web Programming and the MSc Functional Programming modules.
