Description: Metabolomics is the large-scale study of small molecules, commonly known as metabolites, within cells, biofluids, tissues or organisms. In our laboratory, we employ NMR-based metabolomics (methodology and applications) of urine and serum samples, targeting large cohorts (i. e. > 10.000 individuals). The final goal is to describe the population at the metabolic level and advance towards a precision medicine program within the region. To that end, we have a fully equipped laboratory.
