OPIRG McMaster has been helping students organize around public interest issues since 1995. We work to empower students and community in exchanging ideas and taking action on diverse social justice and environmental issues. Our vision is to engage, inspire, and empower all to achieve positive change through grassroots initiatives.
Students bring their passion for social justice and environmental integrity to us in the form of Public Interest Projects, student-based projects engaging real problems. Issues are addressed in unique ways with a goal of leaving a lasting impact and beneficial outcome. Learning by doing, with lots of support from our entire organization!
