Port Alberni Terminals features 3 berths and has all the necessary shore services required for international and coastal trade, including shipping agents, stevedoring companies, tugs and shipyards, fresh water and call-in of Canada Border Services Agency.
The Port is also actively working with a variety of shippers to consolidate imports and exports towards creating a critical mass to facilitate container shipping and/or container barge loading at its existing terminals. At the larger end of the spectrum the Port is focused on achieving its proposed new Port Alberni container Transhipment Hub (“ PATH ”) in the Alberni Inlet towards the mouth of Barclay Sound.
