It all began when I started writing songs for my newborn daughter, Sam. Little ditties to make her smile. A beautiful career filled with children and music was born.
After leaving NYC to raise my 3 kids in the suburbs, I opened The Children’s Center of Goldens Bridge-the birthplace of ArtSmart-offering art & music lessons to preschoolers. When the center had to close in 2008, I threw the guitar in the trunk, hit the road and continued teaching throughout communities in NYC and Westchester until the pandemic hit in March 2020. I love a good alter ego, don’t you? Trisha Blue & the Rubber City Souls is a project Kevin & I created to record cover songs in a different way. Kev has a way of twisting and laying down killer grooves! All the tracks were recorded live (except for the vocals). Watching Alex Salzman, Don Harris and Kip Sophos record was a master class I’ll never forget. These cats are the best in the business, and I’m blessed to call them friends.
