In 2014, "Fried Egg Bouquet I Am" was awarded Best in Show in a judged art show in Southern Pines, NC. I was striving to create a style to call my own. I realized that painting from a real-life set up was cramping an inner desire to paint from my imagination. I love this painting because it started me on a journey to do my own thing.
