The Clay International Secondary School was started as a free coeducational school in 2005 to support rural students in Kenya whose families could not afford public high school fees.
Completely funded by private donors through Project Education Inc., ( PEI ) Clay School is a unique collaboration with parents, students, and a Kenyan staff of educators and mentors.
126 Clay boys and girls live on campus in boarding facilities, and 12 faculty members live in campus housing, in the remote village of Ngomano, in Makueni County 110 miles from Nairobi.
