Born in 1949 in Klimmen in the province of Limburg, the most southern part of the Netherlands. He studied at the ‘Stadsacademie voor toegepaste Kunsten’ (School of Arts) Maastricht. From his young days on he had a bright interest in nature, wich is clearly visible in most of his paintings and illustrations.
