The office is responsible for the oversight of legislation enabling the operation of the racing industry in Queensland – Racing Act 2002 and the Racing Regulation 2013
Our role extends to being the administrative agency with oversight of Racing Queensland and any future control bodies for other approved codes of racing.
We work in conjunction with other agencies responsible for the governance and administration of the racing industry in Queensland under the Racing Integrity Act 2016 . Agencies include the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) and Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
