The Aikido Academy of North Carolina (Joshinkan Dojo) has been operating under the guidance of Sensei Bill Bunn since 1993. The school is a member of the Aikido Association of America , and is affiliated with both the Aikikai Foundation and World Aikido Headquarters, Tokyo Japan. Instruction is focused towards both the basic principles of Aikido and their applications in technique. Above all, it is taught at your level of ability.
Sensei Bill Bunn holds the rank of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) and is the Chief Instructor at Joshinkan Dojo. He is also a member of the Teaching Committee, as well as Southeastern Regional Director for the Aikido Association of America. Sensei Bunn has been studying Aikido since 1975, and has been teaching since 1981. He is often a guest instructor at regional Aikido seminars.
Should you have any questions, or you are interested in joining the dojo, please stop by anytime during regularly scheduled classes. Visitors are always welcomed to observe a class, Bunn Sensei teaches on Tuesday and Thursday nights, while Whatley Sensei teaches on Wednesday nights.
