My focus is on overall health, temperament, and longevity. My goal is to continue improving Harley and Velveteen lines while incorporating a variety of coat and color patterns. I plan to do full Serology Panel testing on all of my rats yearly in addition to Seoul/Hanta Virus, Rat Bite Fever, and SDAV.
I feed the Shunamite mixture as a primary staple diet in addition to fresh foods. They enjoy fruits, vegetables, and various protein sources – such as mealworms, boiled eggs, and seasoned chicken. Rats also do well on commercial lab blocks – I recommend Oxbow, Mazuri, and Teklad.
My rats are all temperament tested before placement.
