I bought a G1, the first Android phone, the day it was released, created an app for it soon after that got mentioned in the New York Times (RemoteDroid, mentioned on the linked page), then turned that into a career. I love new technology, and I love thinking of new ways for people to use things in ways they might not have expected.
People don't use software because they just happen to like software, they use it to get to a goal. To me, user experience means shortening the path to that goal, and making it as pleasant as possible. Helping people accomplish their goals in the way they want to means success for whatever you create.
