My name is Renee. I only just recently figured out my last name (after a long path of poverty, foster care, adoption, and divorce). I chose the surname of DeMont, the name someone listed on my birth certificate, because I like the sound, and it’s the one that came before all of the other.
I choose to write in a sincere effort to reconcile my past with my present. Hopefully, through this cathartic process, my second half will be led by my soul’s desire, rather than by my fears and doubts of the first half.
I like naps near fireplaces, tasty spontaneous lunches with friends, Love of all kinds, droplets of rain, being a good daughter to my wonderful father, my children’s giggles when they make each laugh, taking adventures around the world, receiving out of the blue texts from an old friend, and iced tea with extra ice.
