The state of our British politics is a result of a political system no longer fit for purpose. A machinery of government with embedded systemic failures, lack of transparency, and scrutiny has allowed for poor quality politicians, a culture of corruption, disgraceful standards, and poor policy-making that are failing the people of Britain.
The truth is that, despite its potential, the UK is not in good shape for the future. Yet our main political parties parrot ideologically harmful, divisive rhetoric and short-term plans that fail to address new realities - economically, environmentally, and socially.
True & Fair is the only political party prepared to bring radical reforms to fix the systemic failures in the UK's machinery of government, to legislate for electoral reform, Parliamentary checks and scrutiny, and to improve anti-corruption laws across politics and public life. I do not believe we can sit on the sidelines or be silent while our country and democracy continue to be damaged, while our children and grandchildren's futures are being gambled with and sacrificed on the altar of idealism or power
