A note from Rob Mathes
Hello, all seekers of Holiday cheer and good tidings! We filmed this year’s Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, at First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. Last year we performed mostly masked with a small team, unplugged-style. We put it online just to thank our longtime concert family for years of support. The first annual Rob Mathes Holiday Concert took place in 1993. It was built around a series of songs I had written for various celebrations and Christmas Eve services. The story of the manger has been endlessly moving to me ever since I was a boy. Innocence and grace enter a violent world and transform it.
