Established in 2008, Ross Violins are makers, dealers and restorers of instruments of the violin family. We provide a high quality, affordable service for all string players. We cater for the needs of everyone from the beginner to the professional musician and take pride in providing a personalised and specialist service.
For hundreds of years the techniques used to make a handmade violin have remained unchanged. At Ross Violins, we believe in retaining that tradition.
We are Ben and Kate Ross, both trained as violin makers and repairers at The Newark School of Violin Making, where we studied the craft of violin, cello and viola making and repair under some of the leading professionals in the field. When not restoring older instruments we continue to make new and are constantly honing our making skills, striving to achieve 'the perfect instrument'.
