Advancing the Practice of Scottish Country Dancing
The Detroit Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society provides opportunities to learn, practice, and dance the jigs, reels, and strathspeys of Scottish country dancing. Classes are offered for adults of all ages and dancing abilities, including beginners, experienced dancers, and everyone in between. All members of the Detroit Branch are members of the worldwide Royal Scottish Country Dance Society based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Detroit Branch holds classes at the First United Methodist Church of Troy located at 6363 Livernois near Square Lake Rd. Classes are held each Thursday from 7:30-9:30 pm.
