Chicago native Ryan Hobbs began playing trumpet at age 10, and has pursued a life-long love affair with it ever since. Ryan is a busy performer and educator, and maintains a full time career in music. He is currently Professor of Trumpet at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL , and Principal Trumpet of the Heartland Festival Orchestra in Washington, IL , and plays trumpet with Northside Brass Quintet.
