Welcome! Sacred Writes: Public Scholarship on Religion provides support, resources, and networks for scholars of religion committed to translating their research for a broader audience. Generously funded by the Henry Luce Foundation and The Carpenter Foundation and hosted by Northeastern University since 2018, our goal is to combat misinformation and prejudice, and ultimately to improve public religious literacy. Our two signature programs help bridge the gap between scholarly expertise and public need: 1)
PI Liz Bucar and Program Director Megan Goodwin for Women in Higher Education
Congratulations to RNS reporter Adelle Banks and SW media partnership fellow Dr. Matthew Cressler on winning a 2021 Wilbur Award for their series, “Beyond the Most Segregated Hour.”
