Hello and a warm welcome to the Salisbury Writing Circle.
We are the largest, liveliest and friendliest fiction writing community in South Wiltshire. Formed in Spring 2015 (though a previous version of the circle ran for many years, with the esteemed William Golding as honorary president), we have over 300 members, ranging from enthusiastic beginners through to internationally published novelists. And through the group, the Salisbury Literary Festival was established in 2017, which is run and organised by Writing Circle members.
Salisbury Writing Circle gets together once a month at Sarum College in the Cathedral Close: the sessions begin with workshopping on a particular aspect of writing; we then usually have a guest author to come along, who talks and takes questions on their own work; we then retire to a local hostelry to carry on talking books over a glass of wine.
