The earliest enterprise along the shores of Buzzards Bay was the saltworks - a clever system utilizing what was on hand, and a bit of craftsmanship to produce sea salt. Hand crafted equipment moved seawater to huge evaporation pans, which utilized the heat of the sun to produce salt.
It is in this spirit of ingenuity and craftsmanship that Saltworks Marine provides care for the crafts that ply these same waters of Buzzards Bay and beyond.
