A unique ornament will represent Cayuga County in the New York State Capitol this holiday season. Cayuga County Clerk Sue Dwyer said in a news release that local artist Sandra Shutter has created an ornament honoring local history for the holiday tree in Albany. Dwyer contacted the artist to create the ornament after being asked to submit one by the state, which seeks to have all 62 counties represented on the Capitol tree.
