In the heart of the historic center of Palermo, more precisely in Corso Vittorio Emanuele (known as the oldest street in the city) the Shahidi shop was born back in 1987, which has now become the first laboratory in Palermo specialized not only in sales, but also in the restoration and in the washing of any type of carpet from the most ancient and precious ones such as Mishan Malayer, Senneh Kurdistan and Kashan Mohtashem, to the most modern and sought after.
The idea of giving life to what today represents a point of reference for all carpet lovers comes from a passion lasting more than 30 years of Ataollah Shahidi, who since the age of 15, in Iran (his homeland) he dedicated himself to learning the art of carpet restoration and cleaning from his master “Bijan” with passion and dedication.
