My name is Siavash (pronounced Si: ɑ: 'væʃ) I am a Senior Data Scientist at Zest AI.
I write python code 💻(passionately), model and visualize data 📊(elegantly), debug errors ⚠️ (reluctantly), and drink coffee ☕️ (somewhat excessively) on a daily basis. As an avid programmer, I am keenly interested in developing tools and machine learning solutions to help fellow data scientists tackle new and challenging problems. Most of my work experience has been focused on building automation software, experimentation, simulation, and storytelling through data.
In my previous position, I was a computational cosmologist at the University of Southern California. My research was mainly focused on modeling, simulating, and analyzing cosmological data, with particular attention to the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). In the past, I have worked on the statistical measurement of large-scale velocity fields, and the implications of relativistic Doppler and aberration effects on CMB observations. I did most of my post-doctoral research as a member of the Simons Observato
