The State Library User Organisations’ Council Inc. (SLUOC) brings together professional and community organisations in the fields of history, archives, genealogy, heritage, architecture and academia. The members of these organisations use State Library Victoria on a regular basis and care about its future as an important cultural institution. The purposes for which the Association is established are listed under the ABOUT US menu.

Some of the activities in which SLUOC is involved include bi-monthly committee meetings to discuss current issues with the Library, seminars, regular meetings with the Library CEO and other Senior Library Staff. We also meet with Government and Opposition personnel to lobby for more Library funding and resources.
