About Susi Gutsche is an artist with a background in Art History and Classical Archaeology. She completed master studies in Social Design - Arts as Urban Innovation at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She works with multiple media, such as video/performance, casting/sculpting, different physical materials and images. Collecting is one of her primary research methods. Globally, in human habitats we all share a routine: personal waste management. We produce waste daily and the scale at which we do that tends to get bigger and bigger. A citizen has the task to bring their waste to the right waste collection point and this is usually where her responsibility ends. Out of sight and out of mind.
