Description: We are a 501c3 nonprofit, fully volunteer and foster-based cat and dog rescue in Boston, MA. We pull dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, often in the south, where overpopulation is a major issue due to the lack of spay/neuter laws. We are not a shelter facility and rely wholly on a devoted foster family network to do our life-saving work.

Survivor Tails Animal Rescue (STAR) is a 501(c)3-approved, 100% volunteer and foster-based cat and dog rescue in Boston, MA. We pull dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, often in the south,where overpopulation is a major issue due to the lack of spay/neuter laws. We also help locally with dogs in shelters, animal control facilities, and owner surrenders. We are not a shelter facility and rely wholly on a devoted foster family network to do our life-saving work.
