Our family was driven by the storms of history to this region, where the Great Plain meets the Transdanubian hills, to the ancient vineyards of Sárköz and Decs. The farmhouse, built in 1927, stood in ruins for a long 24 years, waiting for it to regain its former character and beauty sometime, until it was finally restored in 2002 and at the same time laid the foundation for the construction of the Takler Wine Estate. It currently functions as a residence for our family.
In 2003, the part of the building that still operates as a wine processing facility was added, and in 2007 we have finished the construction with the final wing including the bottling area, office level, tasting room and the Guesthouse rooms. In 2012, we purchased the neighboring farmhouse built in 1892, which we named „Swallow Farm”. This characteristic veranda building takes us back to the life of 19th century Sárköz. Our big dream came true when we were able to open the Takler Mansion in the spring of 2015. The respect, sophistication and richness of detail of the last century are combined with the possibilities of today in this magnificent building, which, due to its excellent features, provides a magnificent view of the colorful countryside of Sárköz.
