The global conferences in the field of technology, entertainment and design have been going with the spirit of ideas worth spreading since 1984. TED is a global community and it welcomes people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. TED believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately to change the world. TED is owned by a nonprofit and nonpartisan foundation. The agenda is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSITB, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSITB event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-
